Michele Shafe is currently Assistant Director in the Clark County Assessor’s Office, a position she has held for over 13 years. She has been with the Assessor's Office for over 14 years, and is a State Certified Appraiser in real and personal property.
As Assistant Director, Michele oversees the administration of the assessment of over 731,000 parcels, 27,000 manufactured homes, and 46,000 businesses in Clark County. In addition, she supervises the processing of over 62,000 Veterans, Surviving Spouses, and Blind Property Tax Exemptions, and 13,000 Senior Citizen Property Tax and Rent Rebates.
Michele is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, Nevada Assessors Association, and the American Society for Public Administration.
Michele holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
